In 1961, the Harmonson Brothers, Paul and Al, having had years of experience in the trade with a Philadelphia based stair company, ventured out on their own and the Harmonson Brothers Stair Company was born. They began building stairs in a two car garage. Realizing instant success, they quickly expanded and built a 3000 square foot building in Cherry Hill N.J. (left) which, in the early years to follow, was expanded to 6000 square feet, the maximum size that the lot would allow.The Harmonson Brothers operated the business through many varying market conditions until 1985 when the company was purchased by the current owner, Bart Withstandley and the company became Cherry Hill Stairs t/a Harmonson Stairs. At this point the market conditions were just right and business took off like a rocket. Having out grown the Cherry Hill facility, Mr. Withstandley moved the company to its current location in Mt. Laurel (right) and surrounded himself with the best of talent and state-of-the-art equipment.Harmonson Stairs stands today as a one of the nations leading professional stair companies offering the highest level of quality both in product and service.
